Does my audio ever leave my Mac?
No. Transcription runs on your Mac with whisper.cpp and the audio isn't kept after it's transcribed. Only text is sent, and only to get a suggestion.
So what does get sent?
When you ask for a suggestion, the app sends recent transcript lines, short excerpts from your sources that match the question, your profile and your briefing. Our servers pass it to Anthropic and stream the answer back. We don't store or log that text, and Anthropic's commercial terms don't allow training on it.
Does a bot join my call?
No. Fennec listens to your microphone and your Mac's sound, so there's nothing to invite into the meeting.
Do I need to tell people I'm recording?
Often, yes. Depending on where you and they are, and on your employer's rules, recording a conversation can need everyone's consent. Telling the other participants is up to you.
Is it only for job interviews?
Not at all. It works for any work meeting. Every session ends with a summary of the questions asked and the follow ups, and the interview tools are there when you need them.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac on macOS 14 or later. It's a direct download, not an App Store app. The app speaks English and Spanish.
What's Deepen?
A longer, more thorough answer for the tough questions, when the quick suggestion isn't enough. Free includes 10 a month and Pro includes 150.
Can I cancel Pro?
Anytime, from the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
